However, in ampullar pregnancy, the fertilized egg fails to reach the uterus and instead implants and develops within the fallopian tube.
This condition poses a serious health risk to the pregnant woman as the fallopian tube is not designed to accommodate fetal growth. As the embryo grows, it can cause the fallopian tube to rupture, leading to severe bleeding and abdominal pain.
