Megacephaly can manifest itself in various ways, including an enlarged skull that is disproportionate to the individual's body or age. In infants and young children, it may indicate an early closure of the skull bones or abnormalities in brain development. In some cases, megacephaly may result from an accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid within the brain.
