The infundibulum is a cone-shaped passage that connects the right ventricle of the heart to the pulmonary artery, allowing the flow of deoxygenated blood from the heart to the lungs for oxygenation.
When the infundibulum becomes stenosed, it means that the passage has become abnormally narrow, inhibiting the normal flow of blood from the right ventricle into the pulmonary artery.
